In spite of quadrupling number of participants in the second Palestine Marathon, we victoriously kept the high number of female runners. 35% in 2014 against 37% in 2013. We accredit this to the powerful and brave female trailblazers in the Right to Movement community in Palestine and around the world, who inspire other women to follow their lead and compete in sporting events on equal terms with men. You run to tell a different story - not only of Palestine - but of women's right to move.

The world needs new stories
"The single story creates stereotypes, and the problem with stereotypes is not that they are untrue, but that they are incomplete. They make one story become the only story.” - Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Nigerian novelist.
